7-20 Summer Update

Wow, all the work we have been doing has been keeping us away from posting the latest news.  We had 6 kids born this spring. Dali had a buck and a doe. Chanel had two outstanding bucks and Coco had a doe and a buck. All are healthy and fine.

We are keeping Dali's doe Mountain Star Dahib Juliette (Sissy)  and Coco's doe, Mountain Star Dahib Caledonia (Cali). We have sold Dali's buck and Coco's buck to Lois and Jack Albright. Congratulations!

One of Chanel's bucks, Tron is reserved and the twin brother Mountain Star Dahib Apollo is for still available for purchase. They are out of  Brankton Revive Kenny LA90pts as a 2 year old  (SG *++B Sunshine Rehma Revive x *CH Brankton Chico Kenzie - LA 90pts VEEE*)

• Dam: 1*M Brankton Karson's Chanel (*Brankton Chico Karson LA 91VEE* x Brankton Golden Nella (SG *++B Sweet Dreams Golden Boy, LA89 V+V x GCH Iron-Rod Naomi LA90pts EVEE)

1*M Brankton Karson's Chanel earned her milk star at the one day milk test at the PDGA show in June.  Coco missed it by 1 point, ahhh, next year!

And the GRAND FINALE: CH Mountain Star Baham Itsy Ibis won best Alpine Senior Doe at the Shelby show in both rings. She was also best doe in show! She is now a Champion! Way to go Itsy. We are thrilled, it is our first Champion doe since we began breeding in 2008 & showing in 2009. Congratulations go to her owners, Sarah York and Chuck Campbell for their hard dedicated work in showing her and conditioning her. She had two beautiful does this year out of Brankton Revive Kenny - so watch out world. Moore's Pond Farm Alpines are on their way to becoming a great herd and we look forward to watching them blossom and grow.

2-21 • The Waiting Game

We are now about a month away from our first kids and most of the kids will be for sale.

Chanel, our cou blank (white shoulder) doe is due first around March 19th. She is by Brankton Chico Karson 91 EEV, out of the Sweet Dream Golden Boy daughter Brankton Golden Nella. Nella is one of the last twin doelings out of  GCH Iron-Rod BT Naomi who was 1997 1st place Yearling Milker with 1st place udder, LA 90 EVEE. She is bred to Brankton Revive Kenny who scored 86 points on his Linear Appraisal score which is very rare for a yearling. Chanel has the first leg of her championship and will be milk tested and shown this year.

1*M Mountain Star Adhara Dali (Brankton Peyton Manning x McRingger Samba) is due on March 21st. Dali is bred to *B Brankton Nike Kipling. Kipling had a daughter place in the TOP 5 at the ADGA Nationals in 2010. Last year she placed 1st in her two year class with best udder.

Then our oldest girl, McRingger Samba is due around April 29th. She is bred to Lady-K LKWE Ashe-Vega.  His mother was Reserve National Champion Yearling in 2005. Samba's brother Karson scored 91 EEV points in his Linear Appraisal two years ago and her sister Brankton Chico Kenzie scored 90VEEE. Her great grandmother GCH Iron-Rod BT Naomi was 1997 1st place Yearling Milker with 1st place udder, LA 90 EVEE. Samba will be milk tested this year.

Last is one of favorites (don't tell the others), our dark red chamoisee doe Mountain Star Baham Coco, who is due on May 15th. She is a Kipling daughter out of McRingger Samba. She is bred to Brankton Chico Karson, 91EEV. She will be milk tested and shown this year.

Our herd is CAE negative, TB & Brucellosis negative.
