9-30 Salvadore and Felipe go to live in Pippinger's Paradise

This is a magical story about our 2010 boys - Salvador and Felipe. We wanted them to live together and we were given that wish when Jane and Brad Pippenger purchased them for the beautiful 3 acre newly fence pasture. The magical part was when we found out that our dear friends Sarah and Chuck had also sold them their three buckling wethers out of McRingger Bebop (now Heidi). Jane was so surprised when she found out that we were best friends. And of course, we are thrilled with their new home!

9-20 Mountain Star Baham Velvet has a new home with the Mineer Family

We are pleased to announce that our wonderful doe Velvet has found a great home with the Mineer family of Irwin, Tennessee. Kim was very excited to add this doe to her foundation herd. Her two boys think that Velvet is the greatest and so do we.

Congratulations to you all! And keep us posted on her progress.

7-15 • Mountain Star Adhara Dali • 1*M Milking Award Certificate Arrives

We are pleased to inform you that Dali has qualified to be called a Star Milker. This allows her to place 1*M in front of her name and indicates that she has reached a level of milk production. She did this by producing 12 pounds of milk (1-1/2 gallons) with .29 Pounds of butterfat, 2.4 Percent Butterfat for a qualifying 18.3 points in a 24 hour period.

She is a 2 year old first freshener,  who recently qualified for a American Dairy Goat Association Linear Appraisal score 87 VVEV. I was told that that was pretty good for a two year old. She also took 1st place in the 2 year old milker class at the PDGA Show out of 16 entries.

She will be bred to Brankton Chico Karson, LA 91 points for 2011. Way to go Dali!

Our heartfelt thanks to Chris Owen (Spinning Spider Creamery) for showing Chanel for us.

Our thanks to David Brank for allowing us to purchase Brankton Karson's Chanel last year. She was sired by Brankton Chico Karson (LA 91 pts) (MissDee Chico x Brankton Keeper Kattie) out of Brankton Golden Nella (Sweet Dreams Golden Boy x Iron-Rod BT Naomi).

We are breeding Chanel to Brankton Revive Kenny (Sunshine Rehma Revive x Brankton Chico Kenzie (LA 90) (MissDee Chico x Brankton Nikita Kendra).

6-5 • PDGA Grand Champion Jr. Doe - Brankton Karson's Chanel

Our dry yearling doe, Brankton Karson's Chanel won the Jr Doe Grand Champion doe at the PDGA show on June 5th. This will give Chanel one of the three legs she needs to put a permanent Grand Champion beside her name.

Pictured here with Grand Champion Chanel is my best friend, Debbie Jackson's son, Harrison.

Another of our does that we sold to Chuck Campbell and Sarah York, Mountain Star Baham Itsy Ibis was Reserve Grand Champion, two times, both on Saturday and Sunday.

Later on Sunday, our 2 year old Milker, Mountain Star Adhara Dali took first place over 16 does in her class. The judge made the comment that, he had never thought he would see a perfect udder and except for Dali's teats turning out a little at the bottom, she had a perfect udder! I almost cried.

The doe Heidi Bebop that I sold to Chuck Campbell and Sarah York, won the milking contest producing 18.6 pounds of milk in 24 hours. She did qualify for her 1*M (Milk Star) award. Pictured here with Heidi are dear friends Sarah York and Chuck Campbell.

All in all it was a great weekend!

FOR SALE: Two Wethers out of 91 Point Registered French Alpine Brankton's Chico Karson

Click on images to see larger versions.

Dali is a two year old first freshener and I am having her linear appraisal done as soon as ADGA can figure out what appraiser they have to send to western North Carolina in the next month or two. She was bred from the bloodlines of Brankton Farm goats. David had the 1997 National Champion Junior Milker with best udder (and many Top Ten does). Her name was Iron-Rod BT Naomi. Dali's grandmother was a double Naomi daughter.

Dali was shown on June 6th and took first place 2 year old milker with best udder in the class over 16 does and last September at the State Fair and came in 4th out of 14 in her first time out. Her udder is coming along nicely. The two bucks are 3 weeks old on Saturday, born April 10th.

We only had these two kids born this year. We have 5 does, 1 wether and the two bucklings on our farm. So these babies are getting all the attention. My husband and I sit out in the turn out pen with them and play with them every day. My herd is CAE negative, Johnies's negative, TB and Brucellosis negative.

Above is a picture of Karson, their father and his pedigree. He scored 91 points last year VEEE. He was one of two 90 point and above French Alpine bucks out of 5 that scored above 90 and above in the United States last year. He is a very calm and nice buck with an excellent disposition.

I am attaching Dali's bloodlines which go back to MissDee Chico; Angel-Prairie Vega Valminck (grandfather of both National Champion Alpines does last year) with two lines going back to him, in her dam and her sire's pedigree. Her sire's mother Brankton Enchanter Mindy scored 87 points in 2009 and has completed one leg of her championship now. David is showing Karson this spring and is working on his Championship.

Dali's bloodline also goes back to the Qu'Appelle lineage which you will also see in Redwood Hills Ember Amicale's pedigree. Her father Manning, was a yearling when he sired her, produced 9 offspring I think and died as a two year old. David gets handsome prices for his bucks but I do not have David's reputation, but all of my goats do spring from his bloodlines. He has been breeding registered French Alpine goats for over 30 years.

This picture of the wether was taken when they were 5 days old. I am trying to get a good picture of Dali and the boys now.

Very reasonable priced, please inquire. Please contact us if you are interested and we will work out what it takes to give them a good home. Renee 828-779-1055.

Angel Prairie Wonder Payton Daughter Available For Purchase

We really need to reduce our French Alpine dairy herd. So I reluctantly offer our Angel Prairie Wonder Payton daughter, McRingger Jitterbug A0014239331. Born 3/31/2007, her mother is Brankton Nike Cabella (a double Iron-Rod BT Naomi daughter:1997 National Champion Yearling milker with first place udder.).

She is a tall (33" at the withers) reddish chamoisee doe bred to Brankton Chico Karson (Sire: MissDee's Chico) A001423291 for a May 8th delivery. This year she gave us 3 lovely doelings as a first freshener and produced between 8 and 10 pounds per day. She is due to kid on May 7th. She is CAE, Tuberculosis and Brucellosis negative. She was dried off in these shots taken in November. $400.00

The only reason we are selling her is we have her sister and are keeping one of her daughters and we have a very small barn. I will be happy to answer any questions. 828-779-1055
